Brian Moylan’s party at Luca Lounge
Last night at Luca Lounge Gawker writer Brian Moylan (above, left) celebrated his 33rd birthday in true New York downtown style. Brian was jetting all over playing host to the attractive crowd. I ran into Dan and his boyfriend Jack ; Dan was the genius behind the stripper midget chickens that I shot last year protesting outside the McDonald’s in Times Square.
The gonzo performance art by local burlesque star Dee Dee Luxe was possibly the strangest moment of the night. I was sitting at a table by the stage talking to my friend Kent when suddenly a stripping Hitler (Luxe) jumped on the stage, gyrating and giving lap dances as Tom Jones’s “Sex Bomb” blared. I love that the stripper, who is a beauty by the way, decided to wear fake muscles and a dildo and play like she was a male stripper dancing for men. The Hitler part seems almost incidental!

Yeah, right? The fake muscles were the cherry on the whole ensemble. What I took away from it was that the label “Nazi” is so debased and over-used that it seems quite normal to have a Hitler stripping next to you in a bar full of gays, a class of people who were gassed in the Holocaust by the real Hitler. You’re right – the Hitler part was almost incidental, with the dildo the real attention-getter.
